Story
Thank you for visiting our page. We are running a Christmas Appeal this year called Give a little happiness... to raise funds for the #I Can Camps. These camps change the lives of individuals with an amputation or limb difference and their families.Together we can continue to change the lives of children born with limb difference or limb absence or have who a acquired an amputation through trauma or illness. Our Christmas Appeal this year is focused on these young people and their families and supporting them on their life-long journey through our #! Can Camps.
There are 2,500 children living with limb difference in England. According to a Public Health England report in 2015 limb anomalies were 29.8 per 10,0000 births. This is an incredibly challenging time for families as they come to terms with this loss, sometimes grappling with guilt and often planning for an uncertain future. LimbPower along with our partners are there to support these families through the newly launched Limbformation website www.limbformation.com and through our events, activities, resources and advocacy.
The #I Can Camps are run in conjunction with Steps and the Limbless Association and Reach will be joining us in 2020. These camps make a huge difference to the lives of all family members. We currently run two camps, the #I Can Team Camp and the #I Can Family Camp. In 2020 we want to run four camps, including two family camps and an adult camp.
We are asking you to make a small gift of a financial donation - only what you can afford - towards our Christmas Appeal. With your support we hope to raise £4,000 towards the cost of these camps. Thank you in advance for your contribution and for thinking of our families at this time.
With much love from the team at LimbPower.
