Story
Haslingfield Little Owls is a charity preschool in the beautiful South Cambridgeshire Village of Haslingfield. The setting is run by a committee of volunteers who spend a lot of their time fundraising as well as supporting the managers and staff. We rely heavily on government funding, fees and charitable donations for the day to day running of the preschool.
The setting itself has been running for over 50 years, with members of the incoming committee having attended themselves as children! Little Owls sits at the heart of the Village, operating out of Haslingfield's Methodist Church, we have been dearly loved and generously supported by our wonderful community for decades. Through this, we know that our thriving village benefits from having a safe and nurturing pre-school for the under 5's to enjoy, with a gorgeous ethos, a fabulous outside space and a warm and welcoming environment inside; it really is such a precious amenity.
Unfortunately, the funding that we receive from the government only covers 70% of our running costs per child. Therefore, we need to make up the shortfall through our fundraising efforts.
Over the coming months, we are hosting the following events:
- From 7-22 April - our Easter Treasure Trail will be available for families to take part in during the Easter holidays.
- On 10 June, join us at the monthly pop-up coffee shop in Haslingfield Methodist Church.
- On 5 July we are excited to bring you are family summer rave in Haslingfield Village Hall.
Keep an eye out for more details on posters around the village and on our social media.
Use this page to donate on line when attending any of our in person event. Any amount you are able to donate, however little, means the world to us and the children at Little Owls; thank you for your generosity and support!
