Visit the charity's profileLittle Gate Farm is a registered charity based in East Sussex. We support young adults with learning disabilities and Autism into long term paid employment in the Hastings and Rother area.
We run 4 main projects:
Work Training for Adults with learning disabilities and Autism which takes place on Little Gate Farm. We provide training in several business areas including:- office admin, hospitality and catering, Animal care, building maintenance, woodland management and horticultures.
Supported Employment, our work trainees are supported in their places of work by a Little Gate Job coach who helps them learn their role , and steps back when they can work independently. We have built relationships with local business to provide places of employment for our work trainees when they leave the work training programme.
Supported Apprenticeships, We work with local business and training providers so that our apprentices are able to study and gain work experience for their chosen job role.
The Young Rangers, a respite for children aged 8-21 with Autism and learning disabilities to help improve their confidence, independence and social skills. Being on the farm and outside in our woodland helps with their mental and physical well being.
