Story
Chestnut Tree House is part of Southern Hospice Group, a local charity made up of three hospices our communities know, love, and support: Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice near Arundel, Martlets in Hove, and St Barnabas House in Worthing.
Together, we support children, young people, and adults with life-limiting conditions. We help those we care for – and their loved ones – to make the most of the precious time they have together. Our expert palliative services reach across Sussex and South East Hampshire, both in our hospices and in people’s homes.
Most people receive care from us in their own homes. Others choose to spend their final days at one of our sites – how does the money you raise make a difference?
💛 At Chestnut Tree House, during 2023-2024, we directly helped 293 children and young people.
💙 At St Barnabas, during 2023-2024, we directly helped 1,544 local people affected by life-limiting illnesses
🩷At Martlets, during 2023-2024, we directly helped 2,218 local people affected by life-limiting
All our support is free thanks to the generosity of local people, businesses, and trusts. An NHS grant covers a portion of our costs, but we rely on the community to fund most of our vital services. Whether someone is living with terminal cancer, end-stage heart disease, or neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, or Motor Neurone Disease - we’re here to help patients and their loved ones live life to the full.
