LiverSWAT, part of NishkamSWAT’s community outreach work, provides free liver health checks using FibroScan technology. These checks are not diagnostic, but they offer an important early indicator of potential liver stiffness or fat buildup — both of which can be signs of developing liver disease.

Thanks to generous supporters, we have procured a FibroScan machine. We are now raising funds to continue and grow our outreach services, taking liver health checks directly into underserved communities.

A Personal Mission

This initiative was created by Taran, Taljeet and Manraj Rai in memory of their father, Amrik Singh Rai, who passed away in June 2024 from advanced liver cancer — detected too late for any treatment.

After his passing, they learned how often liver disease goes unnoticed until it becomes life-threatening. LiverSWAT exists to honour his memory by ensuring others have the chance to understand their liver health before it’s too late.
