Visit the charity's profileIts often a surprise to people that Citizens Advice Gateshead is a local charity reliant on its own fundraising to enable us deliver free and impartial quality advice and information to enable people to know and understand their social welfare rights and responsibilities. We are already supporting over 12,000 people every year in Gateshead, and last year the net gain for those individuals was over £7 million in total. What came with that was a tangible improvement in peoples lives enhanced mental health and overall wellbeing, as well as a sizeable contribution to the local economy. Meanwhile over 3,000 calls to our local adviceline were left unanswered due to limited resources.
