Story

Help Rebuild Our Beloved Playground at Llangrove Village Hall

Nestled opposite the local primary school in rural Herefordshire, Llangrove Village Hall isn't just a building; it's the vibrant pulse of our tiny village community. Since its construction in the 1960s, the hall has welcomed kids and grown-ups alike—hosting everything from Playgroup and Brownies to the WI, line dancing, local history talks, village markets, pantomimes, concerts, gardening club, sewing circles, and council meetings

The cherished children’s playground, which forms part of the hall’s grounds closed in March 2025 following a negative inspection by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents—bringing swinging, climbing, and joyful laughter to a sudden halt as certain safety standards were no longer met.

We need to raise around £100,000 to rebuild a safe, modern playground—one that small families and children in Llangrove, Ross-on-Wye, and beyond can enjoy for years to come.

Why Your Support Matters

A Safe Space for Play: Healthy, imaginative play is essential to childhood development—and no child should miss out because of safety concerns. Your gift helps restore their safe playground home.

Preserving Community Spirit: The playground is more than equipment—it’s where friendships bloom, childhood memories are made, and our busy village hall continues to thrive.

A Lasting Legacy: Contributions will create a safe, inclusive space where future generations of kids can play, explore, and grow—and memories of today will become tomorrow’s cherished stories.
