With 5 runners taking part every year, the London Marathon is a significant event in The Rossendale Trust' s fundraising calendar. Sadly our 2020 runners have been kept waiting much longer than they originally thought with the event be cancelled due to Covid 19. Their strength , resilience and determination to continue to train and fundraise during these difficult and uncertain times has been inspirational. We are exceptionally proud of all this year's participants and when they cross that finish line in October their medals will have been well and truly earnt.

Funds raised form the London Marathon will go directly to our WorkTaste project. WorkTaste is a supported employment scheme for adults with learning disabilities. WorkTaste provides opportunities for people with learning disabilities to take on roles and responsibilities in a place of work, enabling them to grow their skills and their confidence. More often than not people with learning disabilities are denied these opportunities but with 1:1 support from a WorkTaste coach the hurdles and barriers they face are overcome.
