Story

Zakat is an obligation on every Muslim who has a certain amount of saving beyond their everyday expenses and after any debts are taken into consideration. It is one of five pillars of Islam and helps to ensure the redistribution of capital within the Muslim society.

About the charity

HMF & Lady Nafisa School are non-profit organisations with the mission of imparting authentic traditional Islamic knowledge. Lady Nafisa School, opened in 2009, has achieved outstanding GCSE results and rated GOOD by Ofsted. As well as GCSE subjects, pupils study Quran, Arabic and Islamic studies.
