Story
Children with Long Covid need strong advocates in their corner.
Imagine if this were your child - struggling to attend school, play with friends, or simply feel well again.
For thousands of families, this is everyday life.
We know what it’s like to have your world turned upside down by Long Covid: to feel afraid for your child’s future, exhausted by the constant battle for understanding, inclusive education and access to care.
This is what drives Long Covid Kids. We are a small team, primarily of volunteers, powered by determination to ensure children and young people living with Long Covid and overlapping illnesses are seen, heard and supported.
Every day we support families navigating complex medical information and education systems, while working with researchers, clinicians and policymakers to improve recognition and support for children living with Long Covid and overlapping illnesses. From support groups that connect young people who feel isolated, to policy and research engagement that ensures children’s voices are represented where decisions are made, we are working to build a better future.
But there is still so much to do.
Your donation helps us raise awareness, support families, and advocate for the recognition and provision children with Long Covid deserve.
Every donation helps turn families’ voices into action for children living with Long Covid.
£20 could help us expand our educational resources to share with more health settings and schools giving them the knowledge they need to support pupils living with Long Covid.
£15 could help us continue working with partners to promote cleaner air in classrooms, helping protect children’s health and learning.
£10 could help us keep the pressure on as we campaign for policies that recognise and support children living with Long Covid.
£5 could help us provide trusted information and support for families navigating a confusing new world of medical and educational systems.
Long Covid continues to affect over 100,000 children and young people, and new cases are still emerging. Its scale is now comparable to other well-recognised chronic childhood conditions.
Together, we can help ensure no child living with Long Covid is left unseen or unsupported.
Thank you for standing with them.
Your support today helps us keep showing up for children and families who need us.
