Old School House refurbishment

The Old School House attached to Longham Village Hall has been unused for over 10 years. In 2024 the villagers decided that they wanted to keep the Old School House as a village asset.
Essential refurbishment work is required to make the space safe and usable. This includes repairs to the electrics and flooring and a new door to replace the existing damaged one. Re-decoration is also needed throughout.
Donations are needed to fund this project as Longham Village Hall is struggling to make ends meet and does not have the available resources to do the work.
Once the Old School House is in a safe and usable state it is anticipated that it will be available for use by the community and as part of the Village Hall hiring facilities. We also hope to use it as the location of a village book swap scheme.
(Note: if we are unable to raise the full total needed for the refurbishment work then any funds raised will instead be used towards the ongoing running costs of the Village Hall which includes the insurance of the Old School House).
