Hope Church Leader Graham Blake said: This is the fifth year we've run this campaign, it really is all about putting love into action and I love seeing the responses, both from those receiving the gifts but also those nominating deserving individuals. People are always so keen to nominate and give funding and those receiving the gifts have been absolutely delighted. Although Christmas can be a very special time of year, especially for us as Christians, we know this season can also be so tough for people and this is a fantastic way to let someone know that you are thinking of them. Trust me, it really can mean the absolute world to them.
One recipient of last years gifts sent an email to the church saying, "We have had a tough year and few people know, as we have kept our troubles close... I would like you to know how much your huge, beautiful and thoughtful gifts have meant to us, we are all totally awestruck. We are now paying this forwards as we have found strength and inspiration from it. Thank you does not seem enough, but we thank you all so much."
Last years gifts included luxury food hampers, family hampers full of treats and toys, pamper hampers & local experience vouchers.
