The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileLittle Nora was just three months old when she was stolen from the wild to be sold as a pet in Lebanon. Monkey World stepped in to rescue the baby primate, and have rehomed her at the centre in Dorset, with four other rescued adult Bengal slow loris. Nora cannot be released back into the wild, as the exact area she was hunted from is not known. Luckily, she has the next best thing, living with others of her own kind at the park. Sadly, this is not the case for many loris hunted from the wild for the illegal pet trade. We are working hard to stop the black market trade, and keep the loris in the forest.
At Dao Tien, there are currently two Bengal slow loris who are ready for release into the wild. The centre has mainly rescued pygmy slow loris in the past, and so need to build a brand new forested enclosure to get the Bengal pair ready for life back in the forest. To do so will cost around £1000- and this is where you come in!
Monkey World are offering one lucky person the chance to see Nora and the loris in their enclosures at the park. Currently the loris group are off show so it would be an amazing opportunity for behind the scenes access to the loris.
For every £2 donation to EASTs enclosure campaign, you will get one entry into the prize draw to win a chance to see the loris at Monkey World.
Enter by donating £2 and quoting LoveLorisInTheForest. Please remember to leave your details so we can contact you if you win.
Entries will close on the 15th September 2018 and well pick the winner on 17th September 2018.
