Story
We are launching our #LoveYourCentre campaign and we would love for you to support if you can.
Here at the Andrew Simpson Centre Birmingham, we provide opportunities for young people from all walks of life to get out on the water and participate in sailing and watersports.
Any profits made from our commercial activities, goes back into the Centre to help us run our charitable programmes. These charitable programmes help young people from challenging backgrounds access our centre and activities for free or at a heavily discounted rate.
To run our activities and to make our activities accessibile to ALL, we need to have access to first-class equipment and a well equipped centre. To purchase this equipment and spend money on refurbishment is often expensive, and any money spent on this means less money to be spent on getting young people out on the water.
Therefore, we are trying to raise £500 to create an inviting, safe, warm community hub space at our Centre. Money raised would pay for warm drinks and snacks, blankets, games and redecoration of the hub room.
We ran a pilot 'community hub day' last year, and it was a huge success, bringing members of the community together, in a warm, safe and fun environment, and we really want to make this a regular event.
Every penny you donate will help us support our community and transform lives through sailing.
