Light Project Peterborough provides support to those who are in desperate need within Peterborough. The vision of LPP is ‘Enabling and equipping the church and community to heal the broken hearted, set free the oppressed and bring good news to the poor.’

We aim to be a truly city-focused, city-change charity by providing projects such as Street Chaplaincy, Homeless Health Hub, Emergency Night Shelter, and Peer Support.

Our biggest project though is The Garden House which opened in October 2018 and is Peterborough’s homeless hub. It is instrumental in both delivering and enabling others to respond to the needs of the homeless in Peterborough. Between April 2023 and the end of February 2024, 754 different people were supported at The Garden House with a total of 12,225 support activities.
