Luma Foundation Charity Clay Day 2025

Organised by Luma Foundation

A fundraising Clay Day event uniting business leaders across Yorkshire to support Leeds Children's Hospital. The event aims to raise essential funds for acquiring critical medical equipment for pediatric and neonatal units.

The Luma Foundation funds essential medical equipment to improve care for children in Yorkshire’s hospitals when such equipment is unavailable through NHS sources. This equipment also advances training for future surgeons in Leeds. We host fundraising events year-round to support this vital mission.

Story

Last year's Luma Foundation Charity Clay Day raised an incredible £78,557! These funds, combined with existing reserves, allowed the Luma Foundation to complete the purchase of a £100,000 Laparo Apex - a vital medical instrument now being used to train surgeons and improve the quality of care for children at Leeds Children's Hospital.

This year, we aim to raise enough money to purchase two additional Photobiomodulation (PBM) units for Leeds Children’s Hospital. These are specialist devices that use safe, targeted light therapy to dramatically reduce the severity and pain of mucositis - a common and debilitating side effect of chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants.

Alongside the Charity Clay Day in June 2025 - raising money through ticket sales, a live and silent auction, and event-day games - the Luma Foundation has launched this JustGiving campaign to expand fundraising efforts.

A huge thank you to everyone who participates, donates, and supports us. Your contributions help ensure children in Yorkshire receive the best possible medical care.

Together, we can create a brighter, healthier future for our children.
