Gaining access to quality lung health care in Sierra is expensive and in many cases, the facility is not available, especially in places like BO Town (South Province of Sierra Leone) where lung health care is either non-existent or affordable. Children, adolescents, and adults with chronic lung disease symptoms such as Asthma and COPD have limited access to quality and affordable diagnoses and treatment. Many people end up with local herbalists in nearby villages and others end up being absorbed into the system and nothing else done. Having a dedicated Lung Health Centre in BO gives an opportunity for these patients in hard-to-reach areas to be captured and properly assessed by trained Respiratory Professionals so they can go on to live an impactful life. Your donation will help provide affordable and essential medication such as inhalers for asthma patients, train local doctors and nurses to deliver timely diagnostic tests and rent the clinic building and equip it with necessary equipment. It will also help us investigate the prevalence and determinants of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and its causative factors. By supporting this vital work, you are helping improve lung health in Sierra Leone and save lives.

Sponsoring a Clinic Building of £7,000 will rent us a 3-4 bedrooms clinic with office space for 1 year = 0ne step toward a comfortable and friendly environment for patients and their carers.

Sponsor medical equipment: To sponsor medical equipment we can deliver safe and effective service. Get involved and take one step toward saving a life. £34 will give us 1 nebuliser or if you prefer, we can also accept donations of physical equipment.

Sponsor medication: Sponsor essential lung disease medicines so patients can receive prompt treatment. £14 donations will give 60 doses of quality inhalers for 1 patient = one big step towards improved and better breathing.

Sponsor our respiratory team so they can respond to patients' needs in a timely manner to give patients a better chance of survival. Sponsoring our human resources (including training package), £22,000/year will help us employ and train local doctors, nurses, and other staff on how to accurately diagnose, treat and care for patients with the love and respect they deserve. Sponsor campaigns: £2,000/year - Public Awareness Campaigns and outreach community sensitisation on the cause of asthma and COPD and how to prevent/manage the disease.

And £5,000 will help us research into the prevalence and determinants of COPD to help design a guideline alongside the Ministry of Health and Sanitation in Sierra Leone to better understand and manage COPD in Sierra Leone.
