Story

No one should go hungry this winter. The Food Parcel Project will ensure individuals and families have sufficient food staples to feed themselves each week.

We hope to be able to feed up to 40 individuals and 45 families each week totalling around 295 people! In order to do this we need to raise funds to buy food items to put in each parcel. We can then buy in bulk to get the best price while also supporting local businesses to help keep the local economy afloat. These are then distributed across the town to families and individuals most in need.

Any donation you can give will be a massive help as each food parcel costs between £40 for an individual up to £210 for a family of 7 or more people. The beauty of this project is how flexible we can be! If we raise more than we need we can keep the project going for longer and if we don't quite raise enough we can reduce the amount in each parcel so every £1 donated really does have an impact for families in need.

Food is essential for physical and mental health. It helps us stay fit and well and get the nutrients we need to be healthy. It is especially important for children and the frail to have regular and nutritious meals. It helps children concentrate at school and therefore reach their full potential. Good food also helps the elderly and frail stay stronger and healthy during the colder, winter months when they are often exposed to more bugs and are more likely to become ill.

Help everyone stay well fed this winter and make a donation towards the food parcel project in Luton!

Thank you and stay safe xx
