At the MFC Foundation, our mission is to use the power of sport and the passion for football to inspire, engage , and transform the lives of individuals in our community. Through our various programmes and initiatives, we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of young people, families, and disadvantaged individuals.
To raise much needed funds a team of intrepid cyclists are taking on a gruelling 100 mile route with almost 4000ft of elevation from Middlesbrough to Manchester. The ride will start on Friday 1st September, with an overnight stop in Skipton before finishing in Manchester prior to the Tour of Britain event, in which the LV sponsored Team DSM will be represented. Cyclists will include LV Managing Director Lee Woolams, Middlesbrough Branch Manager Garry Burnip, UK HSQE Manager Carl Parker and Transport Planner Paul Bambrough.
Talking of the challenge Middlesbrough Branch Manager, Garry Burnip says:
“As a sponsor of a professional cycling team, DSM – Firmenich, who are taking part in the Tour of Britain for the first time, it presented a great opportunity for us to cycle from Middlesbrough to Manchester and join in with the spirit of the event.
Our association with MFC and the Foundation as a Premium Partner is something that LV Logistics are extremely proud of and this occasion is ideal to help raise some essential funds for the charity, who are committed to providing opportunities for the people of Teesside.
Please give generously…”
All money raised will go to support the most disadvantaged across the Teesside community.
