The Rotary Club of Lyme Regis, part of a global organisation of over 1 million persons, aims to serve and enhance the social and cultural life of the community at home and overseas and raise funds for local, national and international charities while, at the same time, having fun doing it.

Story

The Lyme Lunge is a fun and memorable fancy dress dip in the sea held in the beautiful seaside town of Lyme Regis. Organised by the Rotary Club of Lyme Regis, the event invites participants to take on the refreshing “lunge” into the sea while raising money for good causes.

Since 2009 the event has raised thousands of pounds for a variety of local, national and international charities.

This year the beneficiaries will be:

Muscular Dystrophy UK - the leading charity for more than 110,000 people living with one of over 60 muscle wasting and weakening conditions.

YFW Blood Bikes - a charity whose dedicated volunteers provide a free, rapid, and reliable emergency medical motorcycle courier service supporting the NHS 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

PSPA - the only UK charity dedicated to creating a better future for people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD).

Axminster and Lyme Cancer Support- aims to provide support for everyone living with and beyond cancer. They offer regular friendly meetings both in Axminster and Lyme Regis so support and information can be accessed locally.
