Story
Lymphoedema is a chronic, incurable condition that causes persistent swelling, pain, restricted movement and hardening of tissues (fibrosis). It often develops after cancer treatment — particularly breast, head and neck, pelvic and prostate cancers.
Without early intervention, lymphoedema can worsen over time, leading to:
• Severe swelling and tissue damage
• Recurrent cellulitis infections
• Increased risk of sepsis and hospital admission
• Reduced mobility and independence
Many of our patients are not at end of life — they are undergoing treatment, in remission, or living long-term with the condition. They want to stay active, independent and well.
This advanced PBM laser will support patients in Norwich, King’s Lynn and future clinic locations, as well as our specialist Tissue Viability Nursing team caring for complex wounds.
