Story
The Eric Liddell Community is a local care charity and community hub supporting some of Edinburgh’s most vulnerable people. It was established in 1980 in memory of the 1924 Olympic Gold medallist Eric Liddell and his compassionate social values.
Our Vision
To foster a community where no-one feels lonely or isolated
Our Mission
To bring people together in their local communities to enhance health and wellbeing and have a positive impact on their lives
I am a passionate supporter of The Eric Liddell Community and the work we do. I experience day to day the benefit to those we care for. To quote one of our carers:
"I had a great time yesterday. I could not stop smiling on my way home. I don’t really have belly laughs anymore but I did yesterday. It was great to feel that feeling again.”
I am proud of the part I play and it brings me joy to see the results of our work. Please join me in celebrating a significant birthday by making a contribution towards our work. Thank you.
