Story
Bursaries and philanthropy have always been an integral part of Morrison's Academy since its inception in 1860. The legacy left by Thomas Morison, a local stonemason who went on to build much of Edinburghs New Town enabled the Schools foundation and establishment in Crieff. This philanthropic enterprise was further demonstrated with assisted places being offered to pupils from Strathearn from the 1870's. The School's values are very much reflected in the support we have continued to extend to families and their children.
As a school, we allocate in the region of £400,000 every year on fee remission to pupils, however we are on a drive to boost our funds and offer more bursaries to children for whom an education at our school is a life changing opportunity. This year we took the decision to widen access to our Bursary Programme and now families from Primary One upwards can apply for support. We often hear from our former pupils how Morrison's Academy transformed their lives. Your support can help provide the opportunity for more children to unlock and realise their full potential and become Morrisonians themselves.
