Story
Every Christmas the panto comes to Macrobert and people from all over the local areaa come along to join in with the boos and hisses. We really believe a memorable trip to the Pantomime gives people a break away from the everyday and an opportunity to create some special memories. Unfortunately not everyone can afford to come to the panto. The tickets cost £15 each and with travel and an ice cream on top, many local families miss out.
Since 2012 we have offered free places at the panto to people who without our support, wouldnt be able to afford to visit. We link in with local charities to find those in need of a Christmas smile and distribute tickets and a free ice cream thanks to our partnership with Mackies of Scotland.
In order to do this we work hard to raise money via our customers, supporters, local businesses and charitable trusts. This is where Im hoping you can help! Id be so grateful if you would consider funding Macrobert Arts Centre and our Christmas Panto Appeal.
Attending the pantomime at the MacRobert allows our Young Carers the opportunity to have a break from their caring role with their peers and get into the Christmas spirit. It means so much to them as many would not otherwise be able to attend a pantomime due to the illness of those they care for, or the family finances not being available to purchase tickets. We are very grateful to those who support the MacRobert Christmas Appeal as this allows our Young Carers to access a fun Christmas activity which creates positive memories for those who attend.
