Family Support Work

Make Summer Magic Happen

Most of the families don't have a break from day to day life so we would love to give our families the chance to spend time away from their difficult home situations, try out new experiences, build their confidence and create happy memories.

Story

The families we support have little chance of getting a break from their stressful home environments. With no transport of their own, extremely limited funds and difficulties accessing services, children in these families don't get to experience what most children see as normal during the holidays, and very often have nothing to look forward to. We are asking for your help so that we can provide day trips and outings for families so that they can have a small taste of "normality" and the chance to experience new activities and create stronger bonds.

Me, my partner, and our three-year-old son had an amazing week in a caravan at Winchelsea. We arrived on Saturday, and were warmly greeted by two lovely ladies who showed us to our clean and cozy three-bedroom caravan, equipped with all the essentials including tea and coffee. With its convenient location just two minutes from the beach and opposite a play park and games room, we had plenty of entertainment options. We explored local areas, enjoying the scenic views and delicious food. Special thanks to Gail Jay for arranging the holiday and for making it possible.
