A team from the Magpie Centre, West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled, are taking part in the MINI GEAR on Sunday 4th May in King's Lynn.
This is to raise funds to continue our vital work offering therapy, achievement and enjoyment to our clients and people in the local community living with disabilities through activities with our horses and ponies.
We offer activities such as riding and carriage driving to all age groups and, wherever possible, to people with any disability. We also offer ‘Tea with a Pony’ for those living with dementia or other disabilities and Equine Assisted Learning Therapy (EALT) a programme encouraging interaction between horses and people to promote mental well being.
We have been carrying out our life-changing activities at our Wallington Hall location for over 30 years, and we take great pride in the exceptional standard of our instructors and volunteers.
It costs around £200,000 a year to keep the Magpie Centre running and much of this money comes from donations made by members of the public and local businesses.
