Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world and has a high number of orphans who are in dire need of support. With two thirds of the population living under $1 a day, orphans in the rural areas live in extreme poverty and do not have any access to education, healthcare, and support.

Three years ago Green Crescent Aid UK opened a brand new Orphanage in Balaka District (Malawi) which provides all the care and facilities for the children residing. All the children have access to healthcare, education and nutrition to ensure they are given the best opportunity to follow their dreams and goals in life to succeed. Your donation will be going towards the running cost of the orphanage, building new facilities to ensure that the children continue to have all the facilities they require to meet their needs. This also covers additional costs such as the employment of security guards, maids, teachers, principal, the transportation costs of any goods and the general maintenance of the building. These are all important aspects of the running of the orphanage and the orphanage cannot run successfully without them.
