Story
4.3 million children in the UK are living in poverty, and many of these children regularly go without healthy meals.
When the school gates close, many children lose more than lessons — they lose access to food, safety, and routine.
That’s where Meals & More steps in. By bringing communities together, they help ensure children have access to healthy meals, enriching activities, and safe spaces during the school holidays — when access to free school meals is not available and support is needed most.
Since 2015, Meals & More have grown from four clubs to over 400 nationwide, supporting the provision of more than 2.5 million meals through trusted partners.
They believe every child matters and deserves a good start in life, not only at school but all year round. As need continues to grow, the ambition is clear: to help provide one million meals every year by 2030.
You can help make this possible.
On Sunday 19 April 2026, Ashley Robinson, a proud Sysco colleague, will be taking on the 26.2-mile challenge of the Adidas Manchester Marathon! After weeks of training, early mornings, and pushing through every mile, he’s ready to tackle the streets of Trafford and Manchester alongside 36,000 fellow runners in what’s set to be the biggest and best marathon yet.
He’s running to support Meals & More, and his efforts will support the charity by enabling them to support the provision of healthy meals at holiday clubs across the UK, ensuring children have access to food when school meals aren’t available.
Cheer him along the route or support him from afar—every bit of encouragement and every donation counts. Let’s help him cross that finish line and make a real difference for Meals & More!
- £13.50 – provides one healthy meal for 10 children during the school holidays
- £40.50 – provides one healthy meal for 30 children during the school holidays
- £135.00 – provides one healthy meal for an entire club (based on an average club size of 100 children)* during the school holidays
*Club sizes vary, so this amount covers a full club of around 100 children for one day; smaller clubs require less.
