For 25 years Mapus Financial Planning Ltd have provided professional, personalised financial planning advice to clients. Our service has always been holistic, and considers overall circumstances, rather than simply focussing on investing money. This has always been key in our duty of care to all clients, many of whom have been with the firm since the beginning. We also know clients and their families that have been helped by the team at Tapping House, providing vital and sensitive support, doing an amazing job at a most difficult time. All charities, but particularly small local ones, face increasing challenges to maintain current support services, with rising staff and general operational costs – this year they will need more money just to stand still, so we are pleased to do what we can to help.

Tapping House is a hospice charity that believes in ‘rest of life’ not end of life

Their vision is that every person affected by a life-limiting condition will be offered choice and access to excellent rest-of-life care and bereavement support.

Tapping House believe in living life to the end and bringing joy to patient’s lives. They work with everyone as an individual, supporting them on each step of their journey through their outpatient unit, inpatient unit, and in patients own homes to live a good life and achieve a good death, in their place of choice. They also work with families along the way and offer bereavement support. Tapping House are a charity and the only independent Hospice in this part of the UK, which enables them to deliver the most compassionate, dynamic and proactive rest-of-life care.

Each year the Hospice costs £5.7 million to run with less than 30% funded by the government. This means each year they need to raise £4.1 million to continue to provide the care services to our local community.
