Story
On 11th October, Palace fans will be taking on our ninth Marathon March, a 26.2 mile walk through south London to raise funds for Palace for Life to support young people in the community.
But why do we do it?
Growing up in south London has never been tougher, but we are in a unique position to drive positive change through the power of sport. Your donation will support our life-changing work in three key areas: keeping young people away from violence and crime, helping them find career opportunities, and supporting their mental and physical well-being.
Each year, we work with over 16,000 young people in Croydon, Bromley, Lambeth and Sutton. In the 2023/24:
- Over 2,000 young people participated in over 50 free sport sessions and more than 750 took part in our Disability Sport programs
- We engaged with 8,000 pupils across over 80 schools in south London
- Over 250 young people attended our Careers in Sport fair
- 313 young people benefited from 1:1 mentoring
Your support will help us reach even more young people, providing them with the opportunities and support they need to overcome adversity and create a brighter future. Join us in this journey—together, we can make a difference.
