Our fabulous Hebden Bridge Charity Shop Manager Charlotte is taking on the London Marathon 2022 to raise funds for our Animal Centre!

" I first started running in 2009 to try something new that would improve both my physical and mental health. Since then I have taken part in various 10k, 10 mile and half marathon events.

This year will be a huge challenge for me as I've never completed a marathon before!

I have always dreamed of running the London Marathon but I have never had the confidence to go for it before. The main reason i entered the ballot this year was that I wanted to raise some much needed funds for a cause very close to my heart!

As a Charity Shop Manager of a self-funded RSPCA branch, I understand the importance of raising awareness as well as much needed funds only too well.

My inspiration for taking on this huge challenge is also my rescue cat Ice!

Without the funds to carry out the amazing animal welfare work that branch does, Ice would not have got the help he needed and would not be here with me today leading a very happy new life!"
