Just 4.8% of people with a learning disability are employed in England. We support young people with learning disabilities to acquire the skills, confidence and independence they need to gain paid employment, reach their full potential and find their place in society.

Story

Team Domenica equip people with learning disabilities and autism - their 'candidates' - with the skills, confidence and independence they need to gain meaningful employment and thrive.

What they do works. Candidates undertake a two-year employment programme that combines classroom education, enrichment activities, and real-world training in their cafes and pub. And Team Domenica partners with local businesses to provide accessible work experience, internships, and job opportunities.

The results speak for themselves:

• In England, less than 5% of people with learning disabilities are in employment.

• At Team Domenica, 75% of candidates find paid work through their Supported Internship Programme.

• And 86% of these young people maintain their roles for at least two years.

Team Domenica's impact goes far beyond numbers, they are transforming lives; bringing hope and joy to candidates, their families, and the wider community.

"This place has changed my life... it's given me hope. I feel ready for the future and like I can do anything!" Candidate Laoisha
