Every day and night, Marie Curie Nurses and frontline staff are giving vital support to dying people and their families, in their homes and our hospices across the UK. At this time of national emergency, these crucial services are needed more than ever as the NHS is put under ever greater strain.
Right now, were working closely with the NHS on plans to support hospitals and NHS staff. Its crucial that we can continue to be there to give dying people the care and support they need.
Were appealing to the generosity of the public to help deliver our care, which is needed now more than ever. Unlike other charities that primarily give grants, we cant just turn off our taps until the situation improves. Weve committed to our NHS partners that we will be there to deliver care, and weve got to continue to be there.
But at a time when these people and their families desperately need us, were facing a devastating loss of funds. Weve never had so many of our fundraising activities face so many challenges at the same time. Our volunteers are unable to collect on the streets. Major fundraising events and community activities have been cancelled or postponed. Our charity shops are having to close.
But dying people and their families need our help right now. Please help Marie Curie Nurses and hospices continue to provide frontline care at this unprecedented time of need. We cant say for sure how long it will be before our situation improves. We urgently need you to donate to our emergency appeal today.
