Natural and environmental disasters have occurred more frequently in recent years, and the Bay Area is not immune. Whether it be wildfires or earthquakes, the fallout from moments of crisis can impact families and their pets in devastating ways. Imagine feeling unable to flee your home because you have nowhere to house your animals safely.

Fortunately, Marin Humane has organized a countywide animal disaster plan in the event of a disaster or emergency. Together with the Marin County Office of Emergency Services, the American Red Cross, and other key agencies, we provide food, shelter, medication, and transportation for those families who need help with their pets in the event of an emergency.

Marin Humane also partners with animal welfare organizations throughout the country to deploy personnel and resources to assist with disaster response and relief.
