As a result of the Markaz being closed due to the Coronoavirus pandemic, the usual means of income have been severely impacted and these are crucial in helping maintain the building, pay the bills and most importantly continue to pay our invaluable staff who receive a modest income.

Story

During this time when social movement and everyday life has been impacted due to the ongoing Coronoavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, to the extent that the masaajid have been closed. We appeal to you to increase in your already generous support to help the Markaz continue its activities and support the community.

As a result of the Markaz being closed the usual means of income have been severely impacted and these are crucial in helping maintain the building, pay the bills and most importantly continue to pay our invaluable staff who receive a modest income in relation to the immense good they do for the community.

In addition, we are providing support to our local community, in particular the elderly and vulnerable members of our community, who are self-isolating based on the UK governments advice, by doing their shopping, collecting their medicine, paying their bills and any other help they may require. We are also helping the local healthcare workers with providing food as they continue to work tirelessly to help those in need.

After the aid of Allah, we ask you to increase on your generosity in supporting the Markaz by donating during these times. May Allah accept it from us all and multiply and magnify our reward many-fold.

This is a time for Muslims to turn to Allah, place their reliance in Him and seek His forgiveness and call upon Him sincerely to remove this calamity and increase in good actions seeking nearness to Allah.

And spend in the Cause of Allah and do not throw yourselves into destruction (by not spending your wealth in the Cause of Allah) and do good. Truly, Allah loves Al-Muhsinn (the good-doers). (Al-Baqarah 2:195)

When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jaariya (ongoing charity), knowledge which is beneficial or a virtuous descendant who supplicates for him. (Muslim)
