The Friends of Mary Seacole (Charity Number 1160265) were founded to support the clients of Mary Seacole Housing Association and various other local charities & organisations that work towards relieving hardship and distress. Their aim is to organise fundraising events and activities throughout the year that will provide opportunities to network and ultimately raise money for the Association. Some fantastic events have been organised to date including a family fun day at Brantwood Park, Luton in the summer and the very popular themed charity ball in the Autumn, which is an evening not to be missed! The Friends also support various other fetes, festivals and functions in Luton throughout the year with our very own tea tent which is run by Mary Seacole female clients with complex needs, giving them an opportunity to gain great work experience. Mary Seacole Housing Association provides supported accommodation and community services to homeless people in Luton, Bedfordshire. They support single homeless people aged between 16 – 65 as well as females with complex needs and those at risk within society. Their mission is to make life more rewarding for everyone they support, helping them to achieve their individual goals and to put them onto a path of independence with a bright future.
