As-Salamu Alaykum Everyone,
May the peace and blessings of Allah Ta'ala be upon all who read and respond to this URGENT APPEAL.
Many Years ago, when the Muslim population first started to expand in Burnley, our respected elders came together to establish what became known as the first Masjid in Town, Abu Bakr Masjid, way back in 1968, based on two terraced houses on Rectory Road.
Alhamdullilah by the Grace of Allah Ta'ala, we have come a long way since then with many successful projects, from the renovation of the masjid to the refurbishment of the Wuzu Khana & Toilets along with the student classrooms, above all, the Masjid has served the community well over the last 50 years.
A few years ago, a need of an expansion of our car park was identified in order to reduce the congestion in the local area and to provide activities for the younger generation.
Aims of the CAR PARK :
Stop the discomfort to the nearby residents with parking especially on Jumma/Eid Prayers
Will facilitate space for events such as Children Days Out with Bouncy Castles/BBQs
Provide local masjid students to play sports such as football/cricket
Organise gatherings such as Shabbi Jummah/Seerah Conferences more efficiently and effectively
Would accommodate space for Janaza prayers so the masjid is not congested inside and outside
Current Position
Funds are URGENTLY needed to:
Complete the Project at cost of £120,000 ( of which only £60,000 has been raised so far)

25-30 local youngsters will put their daring to the test with an exhilarating challenge for an incredible cause! #TeamMasjidAbuBakr will partake in a truly unique exciting experience, they will fly over Zip World Penrhym Quarry, where they will travel at speeds of over 100MPH whilst also taking breath taking views.

Final Appeal
We invite you, our dear brothers and sisters in faith, to invest in a project that will give you guaranteed return in the Hereafter. A place where they may come and worship in and a place for our children to learn in and build strong foundations for their life and to be knowledgeable and good examples and valuable members of our society.
