Story

This will be the second marathon that Matthew will have run in support of Croydon Health Charity, which is dedicated to supporting patients and staff across Croydon Health Services NHS Trust.

This year Matthew is raising vital funds for our Dementia Garden Appeal. This appeal will enable the charity to create a calm, safe outdoor garden where patients with dementia can step away from the clinical environment, reconnect with nature, and feel a sense of comfort and familiarity.

Matthew said: “I’m incredibly proud to be running the London Marathon again this year to support our Dementia Garden Appeal. The Garden will make a real and lasting difference for our patients with dementia and their families, and provide a place for families to sit together, talk, reminisce, or simply enjoy a moment of peace during what can be an incredibly difficult time. Every contribution, no matter what size, will bring us closer to making this important space a reality. Thank you for your support.”
