Story
Growing older shouldn’t mean growing isolated.
For many older people, loneliness, poor health, and loss of confidence can slowly take over. But every week at the Rainbow Rooms in Eccles, a group of older women gather to dance, laugh, and belong.
They’re called Mature Movers. And for over 20 years, they’ve been a lifeline. A place to stay active, make friends, and find joy in movement. More than that, they regularly perform in local care homes and community events, spreading hope and happiness wherever they go.
But after losing a few members recently, the group is struggling to cover costs. Without help, their future is uncertain.
We’re raising £910 to fund 20 weeks of classes, covering:
*Room hire
*Dance teacher fees
*Transport and costumes to keep performances going
Your donation will do more than keep a class running. It will:
*Keep older people active and healthier for longer
*Fight loneliness by giving members a community they can count on
*Boost confidence and wellbeing through dance and performance
*Bring joy to others as the group continues to perform in care homes and local events
👉 Please donate today, and help us keep Mature Movers dancing, laughing, and lifting up our community.
Because everyone deserves a reason to keep moving and to know they still matter.
