Story

Covid-19 has had a major impact on people living with dementia and more help is needed to support those affected by the condition. Older adults living with dementia have been more likely catch Covid-19 and to suffer severe outcomes from the virus itself, while the impact of restrictions have seen a widespread worsening of dementia symptoms.

The lady behind Denim for Dementia is Faye Mitchell, and we'd like to let Faye tell you herself why this is so important to her:

We are asking our employees and homeowners to get involved for one day, wear some denim, and donate £1 (or more if you feel able to do so). Every penny raised will be granted to the Alzheimer's Society as part of the #denimfordementia campaign.

There are prizes on offer for best dressed, so snap a pic and tag the Foundation on LinkedIn or Twitter, or send it in to graeme.marsh@mccarthyandstone-foundation.org.uk

Please get involved, get your denim on, and give what you can. Thank you!
