Story
Why are we raising funds?
Marshfield Cricket club is a registered charity and relies on countless volunteers to ensure the club can run smoothly year-on-year. As volunteers, we try our best to prolong the life expectancy of our most valuable cricketing assets, such as sight screens and covers, but undoubtedly there comes a time where repair work is simply not enough and a full replacement is needed. Your donation will directly support the club to raise valuable funds to help invest in our priority and condition need based 'bucket list', which will support the continued success of our youth and senior section.

Community Impact
With Marshfield being a rural community, the cricket club plays a big part in keeping children in the local community active and also acting as a social hub for families in the village. We regularly engage with the local community hosting regular events and fund raisers for projects inside and outside the cricket club.
We know that for the club to continue to thrive, it’s essential that we continue to improve the facilities at the club to accommodate as many junior and senior players from the local community as possible.

How we'll spend the money raised
To respond to the increased demand, and give more children the chance to play cricket, we want to improve our existing facilities by outlining our 3 key targeted areas for improvement:
1. Pitch Improvements - To facilitate the highest possible levels of cricket across all ages!
2. New Cricket Covers - To keep our wickets as dry as possible during the 'glorious' english summer!
3. Invest in New Sight Screens - To (simply) ensure our batters can see the ball and reach their full potential!
We believe our Kaizen attitude towards our facilities will foster improvement for our current members, attract new players to the cricket club, and help grow the game in the local community.
More chances to play cricket. And better facilities. It's a bit of a no brainer really!
The kids treat the cricket club as a second home and are reliant on the facilities to play the game that they love!
What we are proposing
Given we achieve our fundraising targets (outlined below), we will look replace or significantly repair the following:
1. Pitch Improvements - £3000
2. New Covers - £8000
3. New Sight Screens - £14,000
