Garioch Marie Curie Fundraising Group officially launched in 2012 and three of the founding members continue to be part of the group. The group meet regularly to plan various activities across the Inverurie area. From collection days to managing collection tins and arranging events which have previously included a Fashion Show, they are "well-kent" faces. Since forming, the group have raised over £77,000 for Marie Curie and helped ensure people locally know about the services available.
Since 2011, Marie Curie has set up Fundraising Groups across the UK to help raise money and awareness for the charity in their local area. They are a vital part of the Marie Curie family, raising a fantastic amount each year to help ensure we can keep supporting people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones. This is through our wide range of services including hospices, nursing, Information and Support services and research.
