On Sunday 5 October, two amazing people have agreed to run 10K whilst collecting sponsorship for the Mayor’s Charitable Trust; supporting Learn English At Home & First Aid Nursing Yeomanry in '25/26. A HUGE THANKS to our runners: ALICE & CAROLINE.

Story

CAROLINE: “I joined the FANYs as a recruit in 2016, passing out in 2017. Since then I have been involved in some incredible support events - working in the Nightingale Hospitals, the response to Grenfell Tower and supporting Ukrainian and Afghan refugees, as well as being involved in the late Queen's Lying in State and the King's Coronation.” “I am a very amateur runner but delighted to be representing the FANYs in the upcoming Kingston 10K as Kingston have generously chosen the FANY to support as a charity this year - so I will do my very best!”

ALICE: “I am a coordinator at LEAH and champion the English language learning that LEAH provide to our beneficiaries." "I am also an enthusiastic baker, which has also led me to be a keen runner." "I am running the Kingston 10K to raise awareness of the vital work LEAH does to support vulnerable learners in the South West London area.
