Can you help Mercy Rescue Trust with some medical costs?

Organised by Mercy Rescue Trust

We had 2 babies admitted before Christmas, both needing urgent medical care. Dantel and Emiliana have both had periods in and out of hospital. We hope that they will both soon be healthy, however, the medical costs are already over £3000.

Mercy Rescue Trust runs a baby rescue centre in Kitale, Kenya. Babies who would otherwise be left to die are rescued, nursed back to health, and either reunited with their family or found forever families.

Story

24th Jan Update:

***We are so pleased to have Dantel home but we still really need your help. This little one will be dependent on oxygen for the next few weeks as his tiny lungs are repairing themselves. The medical bills are still growing and will continue to grow as he still receives care. Please consider giving as much or little as you can.***

17th Jan Update:

***Whilst Emiliana has fully recovered on the 12th Jan we had to take Dantel to the next city as he was admitted into Intensive Care. He has improved although will need to continue treatment in hospital for now. This has meant costs have risen to over £3000. PLEASE PLEASE help if you can.***

Emiliana and Dantel both arrived late last year and both had to be admitted to hospital. They are both premature babies in need of lots of additional support.

Emiliana was abandoned and found on a road side, so very little is known about her. She appeared unwell when she arrived at Mercy Rescue so was taken immediately to the local hospital. She was then admitted and placed in an incubator.

Dantel was abandoned at birth at the hospital, and shortly after developed pneumonia. He has been in and out of hospital since with complications, and is still not completely clear of the illness.

Both babies are back at home now, and we hope to keep it that way, but will be keeping a very close eye on both.

Medical costs in Kenya are not cheap, and we already have a bill of over £1000 to pay, and this may well increase if Dantel requires more medical support.

Can you help us raise the money to cover these costs?
