FYD stands for Final Year Dinner, a subcommittee of medsoc dedicated to making the final year of med school as much fun as possible by holding events for all years and putting on a production lovingly mocking our time at med school (written from scratch!).

This is all to fundraise towards a weekend away trip for those final years to celebrate all their hard work before they graduate as doctors!

By coming along to FYD events and helping us fundraise, you're not only guaranteed a good time, you're also contributing to an age old tradition of med school that will pay you back tenfold when you reach your 5th year (I know that seems far away but it'll come round quickly!).

We will be hosting a bake sale at the FYD and ARTE show in the Arthur Thompson Hall in the medical school in order to raise money for the final year dinner. The cakes will be donated by members of the committee and allergen lists recorded. We have had the risk assessment approved for the event. The money raised on this page will be sent to the Final Year Dinner Guild Bank Account. This money will be used to subsidise the cost of our trip at the end of our final year – as outlined in our budget. The go fund me page will be used to enable people to purchase cakes from our stall if they do not have cash.
