Memories Are Golden is more than a Community Hub — it is a lifeline. Based at Abbeycroft Leisure Centre in Haverhill, our charity opens its doors to people living with dementia and to those at risk of feeling isolated or disconnected from their communities.

With a growing number of individuals in our own community being diagnosed or living with dementia, the need for meaningful support became impossible to ignore. We recognised the importance of creating a dedicated day service — a safe, warm, and welcoming space where people can connect with others, take part in purposeful activities, and feel valued and understood.

The impact of Memories Are Golden is deeply felt. For those who attend, it is a place of belonging, dignity, and inclusion — a reminder that even as memories change, connection, kindness, and community remain.
