Help Support Our Dementia Appeal

Every day, West Herts Hospitals depend on charitable support to make a difference in the lives of patients. Right now, West Herts Hospitals Charity is on a mission to raise £15,000 to fund additional equipment and services for the dementia unit at Watford General Hospital above and beyond what the NHS can provide alone.

On Sunday 5 October 2025, we’re taking part in The Memory Trail, a special 11-mile fundraising trek in support of the dementia appeal.

About the Event

The trail begins at St Albans City Hospital and follows the scenic Abbey Line Trail, passing St Albans Abbey and winding through the Hertfordshire countryside. It finishes at Watford General Hospital, where participants will be warmly welcomed and celebrated for their efforts. Along the way, trekkers will enjoy beautiful views and the company of fellow trekkers – all walking together to support and improve dementia care for our local community.
