Story

With a broken heart and profound sorrow, we mourn the loss of our colleague, Rabbi Tzvi Kogan, Tzvi ben Alexander HaKohen HY"D.

Rabbi Kogan and his wife Rivky lived in the UAE for several years as the Chabad Shluchim (emissaries) to bring light and Jewish life to the community.

As we grieve this unimaginable loss we reaffirm our commitment to ensure the light of Judaism and the Jewish people shines brighter than ever.

This week, take a moment to to do a Mitzvah in honour of Rabbi Kogan. Whether that Mitzvah is putting on Tefillin, giving charity or kindness to another, your Mitzvah will add more light to dispel the darkness.

When tragedy and darkness hits, the only way to overcome it is with more light. Doing more, connecting more, more unity and shining brighter.

We have committed to bring more light with more large Menorahs across Borehamwood to shine as bright as ever, strong and proud! Let's join together and dedicate a Menorah to Rabbi Kogan, so his memory can continue to shine bright.

We are organising the logistics to have a Menorahs stand strong and proud in public spots in Borehamwood. This will bring a strong message that AM YISRAEL CHAI, a nation that shines as bright as ever, and wants a world of light and peace!

If you would like to be part of bringing light to Borehamwood and doing a Mitzvah of Tzedakah in memory of Rabbi Kogan, join the Menorah campaign.

Each Menorah is £2000, the more we raise, the more Menorahs across the community! Together we can make it happen!

We continue to pray for peace in Israel, for the 101 hostages who are still not home, and for the entire world.
