The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
U-evolve is a Scottish charity supporting young people in Edinburgh. Every year hundreds of young people come to us for help with their mental health. We provide a listening ear to young people experiencing challenging and distressing emotions, creating safe and trusting relationships where they feel safe and can open up about their feelings and experiences. In our 1:1 service, young people have access to weekly support for as long as they need it. We work with our young people towards their goals, learning about mental health and practising the tools to look after their wellbeing as we go. Young people leave our service with knowledge and control over their emotions and reactions, increased confidence and self-esteem, and able to look forward to positive futures.
I actually feel like I have some control in my life for the first time ever."
Every £22 raised by our fantastic Mental 'Elf Movers funds an hour of 1:1 support for a young person in Edinburgh. We know times are tough and money is tight, anything you can afford to give goes towards providing life changing support. We appreciate every penny and it really does all make a difference!
U-evolve has helped me a lot. To be honest, I don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for U-evolve. They have made such an impression on my life which is going to be there forever."
Our support is called Therapeutic Coaching, and it's totally unique to each young person we support. To help explain how we help, we have shared Paul's* story, narrated by his Therapeutic Coach. Paul received support from us and turned his life around. He went from believing he was destined for prison, to achieving his goals. All because he learned about his emotions and how to manage his reactions.
