At Cambridge & District Youth for Christ, we are about seeing young people's lives changed by Jesus. We recognise both God's heart for and the significant need there is to invest in young people's wellbeing. In response to this we have developed the Wellbeing Pathway, a strategic framework for making a difference through our work. Our mentoring programme, currently being offered to local schools, is one key step along that pathway.
We are partnering with local schools and churches to support young people in developing their confidence and investing in their wellbeing. To help us deliver the best possible sessions we are putting together two mentoring boxes, ready to go into schools each week, full of resources which put young people at their ease and help to spark conversations.
Each box will include a pump flask (to take in hot water), fidget toys, mood cards, discussion starters, card games, pens, paper and refreshments (hot chocolate and biscuits).
We are looking to raise £600 to cover the cost of these boxes.
With a small donation you could have a big impact on helping young people meaningfully engage with a Youth for Christ mentor. Could you help towards the cost of our new mentoring boxes?
